Hey hey! It’s been a minute since my last post. Life got a bit busy these past couple of months. I feel quite fortunate to have gotten to spend some quality time with close friends and family. Also went on a couple of trips and did a major change in my diet. You can head over to my YouTube channel and check out my 100 Days of No Fat video for a recap on that.

Introducing TT Style

Can you believe that I’ve been on this healing path for 8 years now? That’s so crazy for me to wrap my mind around. Gosh, I remember feeling so lost in the beginning and I heavily relied on other peoples lifestyles for inspiration. Something interesting that I’ve learned over the years is that I don’t believe there is a “one size fits all” diet or method when it comes to healing. In my opinion, diets are very similar to the characteristics of ones’s personal clothing style.

For example, in your closet, you have basic pieces, your staples of your wardrobe and then the rest of your clothing are pieces that you add to create your personal style. I feel that diet and healing is essentially the same way.

There’s a foundation or basics that we all sort of follow, but then from there the details of our journey tend to be different. We each will have a unique combination that will work for us based on our needs, finances, cultures, etc. This is where the idea of me being, The Inside Stylist was created from. I felt people around me needed help to style themselves. They had the desire to make the changes, but lacked the knowledge, time, and energy to find their style. This is where I felt I could help and be of service.

Now with that being said, I’m thrilled to introduce to you a new thing I’m calling, TT Style (aka the Tara Tom Style). I’ll be sharing different ways on how I personally navigate through life, with things like whole food cooking and a less toxic lifestyle. You can expect to be seeing posts with cooking tips, kitchen info, and little snippets of my life. I’m hoping that by sharing my own personal style, you’ll be able to find a style that will work for you.

A Quick Recap

To update you on my life, here’s a quick recap of what’s been happening…

Fat Free, Healing, and Happy! I’m on Day 180 of no fat while following the Medical Medium protocols. I have been trying new fat free recipes and have been experimenting with alternate ways to cook without fat. It has been both fun and frustrating at the same time but, I am learning so much from this. Definitely am looking forward to sharing more about cooking fat free with all of you!

Giving my liver a bunch lot of love and support. For the last 6 months, I have been focusing on helping my liver detox, cleanse, and heal. Been drinking teas, taking supplements, and eating specific foods that are meant to support the liver. Taking care of the liver is something I think everyone needs to do. The liver has a super important role of keeping us healthy by cleaning our blood and filtering out things like toxins, pathogens, and heavy metals from our body. It’s the filter for our bodies and like any filter, it too needs to be cleaned in order for it to work properly. Will be sharing more of my liver cleaning experiences as they happen.

Getting back into exercising. Currently, I’ve been either walking for about 30-45 mins a day or I rebound for 20 mins a day. Doesn’t sound like much but let me tell you, combining exercise while on a fat free diet, really has helped my body move forward in healing.

I mean I did lose 15 lbs in 3 months! I’ve kept it off and have seen the swelling in my face and body go down a whole lot! This has been a huge step forward in healing for me. If you’ve been following me, you know that FOR YEARS I’ve been struggling with an extra 25 lbs. You can read more about that here.

As my body progresses I intend to also add different exercises. I have learned that I needed to take a different approach toward exercises. One that is healthy for my adrenal glands and my healing body. Hope you join me on my path toward exercising after healing from over 20+ chronic symptoms.

Well, that pretty much sums up everything that has been happening. I’m so excited for this new section! Can’t wait to share how I style my life from the inside out!
