How Long Will It Take For Me to Heal?

I get asked this question quite often. How Long will it take to heal? I know we all want to know the answer to this, but the reality is, there is NO set time. That’s the honest truth. So when I am asked, “How long did it take for me to heal?” or “When did you see the first signs of healing?”….I truthfully don’t have an answer because it was something that gradually happened over time. Whatever you do please don’t ever start to compare your journey to my journey. This act will only leave you feeling frustrated or defeated if your journey ends up being different then mine.

As we know, we are all unique and different in our own ways. The plain honest truth is that there is no other person exactly like you. We understand this, yet we tend to discard this thought when we think of healing. In reality, there are so many factors that determine the time it will take for you to heal. Like the health of your immune system, your liver’s health, the amount of heavy metals in your body and the type of virus you may have. Yes, even within a certain virus there are many varieties or strains. Now that the we are able to recognize all the determining factors, we can clearly see it is highly unlikely that you will heal at the very same time as someone else.

Let Go of the Need to Know

I completely understand it is extremely frustrating to “not know” how long it will take to heal. I’ve dealt with this disheartening thought for many months until I realized I may never know the answer. So I learned to let go of the idea of needing to know when I would heal and instead focused on having faith that I just simply would. I also stopped comparing my journey to someone else’s. Doing this eliminated the feeling of disappointment and defeat when I didn’t heal at the same time as someone else did.

So what I want you to take away from this is… to know that you WILL heal and it WILL happen, just at the rate and time that is specifically right for you💚
