Hello December!

Credit: TARA TOM

I was looking at some photos of last December and forgot that I had gotten really sick for a week. Click HERE to watch a video on that. It was the week right before Christmas. Literally I wasn’t able to do anything except lay down. I was barely sleeping, eating and drinking.

December Can Make You Sad

I’m sharing this is because I know that December can be very difficult, for those of us who suffer with chronic illnesses or symptoms. Normally, it is a time for celebrating and gathering with love ones. But it is the opposite for those of us who are stuck in bed and are just trying to survive.

As we watch and listen to people around us get excited and prepare for these joyous activities, we are left reflecting on what life was like prior to getting sick. You can’t help but feel sad and lonely.

I have been in that place, I have felt its intensity, and I have made it out. Click HERE to read more about Healing and Social Gatherings

Those times were extremely tough. It was challenging to find someone who truly understood the whirlwind of emotions that I was going through. So for this month, I want to try and be here for you. I want to be that friend who sees you, who genuinely understands, and who can maybe somewhat relate.

I remember last year laying in bed watching YouTube videos of peoples lives and listening to healing stories on MM podcasts. It helped the time go by and for some odd reason it made me feel less alone. They never knew it but it was like they became my friends. Just watching them heal and enjoy like gave me hope that this difficult moment will pass.

I Will Be Here For You

So I’m setting aside a bit of time everyday to share a post. Hopefully it will feel like you got a friend to connect with this December. Not sure what I’ll be writing about but, will probably treat it like a journal. Planning to keep things light hearted and hopeful.

Let me know in the comments some things that would help to brighten your spirits!

Looking forward to connecting with you!
